After almost a year in Playa, the lack of confident Spanish language was proving to be too challenging for school so we decided to return to Canada. On the morning of June 28th, we lined our luggage up and waited for the taxi van we had booked for 7.15 AM at a cost of 750 pesos. We waited, and waited and then panicked as we realized the taxi was not coming. Regular cabs charged 750 PER cab and we would have to take two! We asked one of the nice Akab taxi guys that we waved to regularly on the school run for suggestions,  and he was kindly able to organize a single taxi that would accommodate all our stuff and we were soon on our way. Traffic was on our side and we had a smooth check in and flight.
