Just living life now! We attempted a swim on Tuesday a but we both got hit by a giant wave, knocking us both down, hitting our heads.  Simple entertainment comes from watching the giant container ships coming in and out of the shipping port.  While Karen, the weekly housekeeper spruced up the apartment on Wednesday, we did a small grocery top up at Soriana.  On Thursday and Friday there was increased marine training activities lasting most of the morning but the beach has been super quiet otherwise. We have been enjoying cooler breezes for our evening walks.  On Sunday we ventured out to the beach at San Pedrito in search of calmer waters. The beach was busy with families, a volleyball tournament, and we met a lovely friendly couple from Mazamitla and got to practice our Spanish!

Monday 2 My knee is improving with rest and gentle movement. Jordan swam today, we dropped off laundry and played our game. We had lunch from the seafood shack on the beach and supper from the burger cart across the street - both winners! Tuesday 3 Another lazy day at the beach club. The laundry wasn't ready for pick-up twice but the guy delivered it in the end. Wednesday 4 To celebrate Jordan’s birthday, we headed into the historic downtown today to admire the statues lining the Malecón, including the iconic 90-foot Sailfish. We followed that with a fantastic seafood lunch at Dona Ceci - where the views are as good as the food - before wrapping up our day with our favourite game at sunset. Monday 26 We took an Uber to the Central Bus station and boarded our Premera Plus bus headed for Manzanillo (scheduled at 4hrs 20 mins/760 pesos). The bus was luxurious with individual entertainment systems but our front row seats had a footrest in an awkward position that could not be adjusted. Construction along the highway led to a delay of about 45 mins. We took a local taxi to our beachfront apartment less than 10 minutes away. for 80 pesos. The apartment is spotless with fabulous views. For dinner we strolled along the main road and settled on the Casablanca restaurant located in a resort hotel and enjoyed 3x2 coctails, tuna tostadas and wings while enjoying our first sunset. Tuesday 27 We had a peaceful night lulled to sleep by the lapping waves and enjoyed a very relaxed day with a walk on the beach. There do not appear to be many restaurant choices in the immediate area....
